At this session, Officer-in-Charge, Capt Junior Browne, Faculty of Law Library, University of The West Indies, will provide a demonstration and overview of CARILAW, the largest collection of primary case law from the Caribbean Commonwealth. Capt Browne will be joined by Yemisi Dina, Associate Librarian and Head, Public Services of the Osgoode Hall Law School Library, who will provide an overview and context of Caribbean legal research.
CARILAW is a database of over 40,000 unreported judgements and rulings from the Commonwealth Caribbean jurisdictions. The project originated from and is currently housed at the Law Library of the Faculty of Law, University of The West Indies, Cave Hill, Barbados. This database has expanded over the years and has some new features.
